I fell in love with the Internet back in 1992 (thanks Compuserv!) and since then, it has been a constant part of my life.  I love blogs, websites, Twitter and message boards (yes, they’re still around).  I enjoy watching how people use online communities and resources to improve their daily life, to get more involved with a hobby, to start a new venture and, occasionally, to fight about stuff.

I’ve spent the last decade helping brands figure out how to navigate online communities. Since 1999,  I’ve created community marketing campaigns for bands such as Green Day and kd lang, and movies like Memento with the pioneer online marketing company, Electric Artists. In 2001, I moved over to New Media Strategies and held many positions in my time there, including Director of Social Media and Digital PR.  While there, I worked on a variety of campaigns for Atari, Pepsi, SyFy Channel, PBS, ABC, The Lord of the Rings Trilogy and other entertainment and Fortune 500 clients.

Since 2007, I’ve worked independently, helping companies with social media, online advertising and digital PR strategies.  I’ve had the pleasure of working with some wonderful organizations, including First National Bank of Omaha and the Omaha Convention & Visitors Bureau.
